When I was younger a series of events happened to me and the next thing I knew my life was falling apart and I felt totally out of control. My first response was to blame others. Like the golfer who hits a bad shot and looks at his 6 iron to see what is wrong with it...
My first reaction was to think something had been done to me and I started operating like a victim.
I wasted years of energy talking about how others were unfair to me. I was broke financially and accused others of taking my money. I drank and used drugs and then blamed it on my genetic make up. And worst of all I surrounded myself with people who supported me playing the victim.
I look back now and I can't believe how many years I played the victim. Playing the victim has many payoffs, none of which are positive.
Don't play the victim any more.
Get rid of those around you who facilitate being the victim.
Turn your life around today.
Just because you may have failed with your last commitments is not a reason to not make new commitments. #MorningMotivation

From the age of 25 to 45 I had what you might call chronic grief. Counselors told me it was because my dad died when I was 10, that my brother died when I was 20, that I had this loss here and that loss there—and that all the losses were the cause of my grief. While it hurt immensely when I lost a family member or had a big setback in life, I realized later that my losses were not the root cause of my grief. You can be depressed whether you are losing or even winning in life, and I want to share with you what I found to end my grief.
The truth is, my real grief in life from 25 to 45 was that I wasn’t living up to my full potential.
Make no mistake, I still have tough days, but it’s not chronic. If you’re winning or losing and you’re depressed, it’s because your potential is greater than your achievements or your potential is greater than your goals. When this happens, you’ll experience some lack of purpose or depression. The way to handle that is to tweak your strategy.
What I mean by strategy is that if you’re struggling and your hustle is not paying off, there may not be anything wrong with you, it’s just your strategy. There are actually two things here that need to be fixed to end your grief; strategy and tactics.
Look at Strategy and Tactics like this:
Strategy 1: I want to hunt down that target.
Tactic 1: How would I actually kill it.
Strategy 2: I want to get rich.
Tactic 2: What am I going to sell? Who am I going to sell it to? What will I say? How will I follow up? How will I close the deals?
Remember if you’re not getting anywhere even with hard work, if you’re pushing and shoving and getting little results, it could be a strategy problem first. Look at your purpose. What do you want to do? Where do you want to go? Why?
Some of you may have a strategy but you lack the tactics. This is where some of my programs like my Rebuttal Manual or Playbook to Millions will get you to where you want to be.
Are you achieving less than you know you can? Are you experiencing grief in your life but can’t pinpoint it? You need strategy and tactics to live up to your potential.
Be great,
GC
